More than a year after the murder of Maddelacheruvu Suri, his widow Bhanumathi has blamed it on the Telugu Desam Party for the killing.
She alleged that it was with the support of the TDP leaders that Bhanu Kiran, the prime accused in the case, had murdered Suri. “As far as I know, Bhanu alone cannot execute the murder. He must definitely have the support of the TDP leaders, who were planning to kill my husband for quite some time,” Bhanumathi said.
She expressed desire to get into active politics. “I have been striving for the Congress party and very soon, I would go into people on behalf of the party. I am confident that the Congress government would sincerely make efforts to arrest Bhanu at the earliest,” she asserted.
Bhanumathi had tried for the Congress party ticket in 2009 elections, but could not get the same. She is now seeking political rehabilitation in the Congress party and therefore, has been targeting the TDP. A clever idea that!
