News Update :

It's 26-GOs case, not Jagan assets case!

Friday, 30 March 2012

Whether anybody has noticed or not, the YSR Congress party and the Sakshi media promoted by party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy have been consciously using certain phrases while referring to the rebel MLAs or the CBI cases against him.
While every section of the media has been referring to the rebel MLAs who had been disqualified recently as Jagan loyalists, the YSR Congress party and Sakshi referred to them as “YSR Abhimaana MLAs” (YSR loyalists). Obviously, the Jagan camp wants to convey the message to the people that all the other Congress MLAs who did not support him are anti-YSR.
Similarly, all these days, the media has been referring to the CBI case against Jagan as “alleged illegal assets case of Jagan.” Even Sakshi, till recently, used to refer it to as Jagan assets case. However, after the recent Supreme Court notices to six ministers and eight bureaucrats, YSR Congress party has changed its phrase and started calling its 26-GOs case.
“A section of media has coined a derogatory phrase of Jagan illegal assets case which, in fact, is the case pertaining to issuance of 26 GOs, in which Jaganmohan Reddy is accused no 52. For whatever reason, the issue has been repeatedly taken a wrong nomenclature and it is time the correction is made and the issue is referred to as 26-GOs case,” YSR Congress party leader Shobha Nagi Reddy said.
