Outgoing Rajya Sabha member of the Telugu Desam Party M V Mysoora Reddy has dropped enough hints that he might not continue in the party for a long time.
On Thursday, Mysoora made a surprise appearance at the “deeksha” camp of former minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy (younger brother of late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, the bete noire of Mysoora) at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi and expressed his solidarity to the agitation seeking a special package to the Rayalaseema region.
Mysoora said the Srikrishna Committee had acknowledged the backwardness of the Rayalaseema region and there was a need to take up a prolonged agitation for mitigating the backwardness of the region.
“The Centre should immediately react and announce a special package for Seema,” he said.
Interestingly, Mysoora did not evince much interest in participating in the 30th foundation day celebrations of the TDP held in New Delhi. He came to the parliamentary party office but left the place immediately.
